About Us
The Pro, a Palo Alto landmark since 1964, has been revitalized in its original Ramona Street location. The new establishment honors the bar’s rich legacy, celebrates Bay Area sports, and maintains the community spirit, including the “Spirit of Stanford.” The bar will preserve its unique character while offering a vibrant new atmosphere and will continue to feature the “Coach’s Corner” in memory of former co-owners Bill “Coach” Campbell and Mike Homer. This legacy is now carried on by a new group of local leaders, including founding partner and “Pro’s Pro,” Andrew Luck, former Stanford and NFL star, who helps restore “The Old Pro’s” spirit.
The Old Pro held a pretty seminal space in my college experience and my wife’s college experience, and it was a fixture in our social life,” Luck told Palo Alto Online. “We feel an intense connection to the place, and I think we also miss places like The Old Pro.
